Puppy Theodore Session | Sturbridge, MA Dog Photographer
I had such a great time capturing the playful energy of a new puppy with Theodore a 13 week old Cavapoo puppy. Theodores mom Amelie wanted to capture this special stage in his life with a professional puppy photography session and the results are some of my favorite pet portraits to date.
For this session we headed outdoors behind the historic Publick House which gives a beautiful mix of greenery, rustic textures and open space for little Theo to explore. This natural backdrop is ideal for outdoor dog photography allowing us to capture great candid and posed moments. To bring variety we included a few fun props perfectly sized for a little Cavapoo puppy! From cozy blankets to tiny baskets Theo looked picture perfect in every setup. We balanced these with plenty of candid puppy shots letting him run, play, and show off his sweet personality.
One of the things I love most about photographing puppies is capturing their genuine expressions. At just 13 weeks, Theodore was curious about everything—sniffing the grass, tilting his head at new sounds, and pausing only briefly to give us those irresistible puppy eyes. These candid moments are what make a puppy photography session so special freezing time the fleeting state of puppyhood.
Puppies grow quickly and those tiny paws and floppy ears don’t last long. A professional puppy portrait session is the perfect way to remember these first weeks and create keepsakes that will last a lifetime. Whether it’s a Cavapoo, Golden Retriever, or a rescue pup every dog deserves to be celebrated.
It was such a joy photographing Theodore and working with Amelie to create these timeless images. If you’ve been thinking about scheduling a pet photography session now is the perfect time—whether your pup is brand new like Theodore or already a seasoned companion.
